Davia Franklyn

Senior Director of Partnerships
Bank Street Education Center

Davia Franklyn is the Senior Director of Partnerships for the Bank Street Education Center (BSEC), in her role she supports district-wide initiatives in examining their vision and change management structures to offer intentional professional development to improve instructional practices in early childhood settings. Davia formerly co-led Bank Street College’s Pre-K for All partnership with the NYC Department of Early Childhood.

Franklyn attended Bank Street College as a Dewitt Wallace Scholar, and her career began as a third grade teacher in Brownsville, Brooklyn. Franklyn’s 20-year career has centered on the critical work of building quality learning environments in under-resourced communities and coordinating professional development programs for teachers, community based organization leaders and community college faculty.
